Frommers Budget Travel Guide
"Phyllis and John extend what one reader described as "the
warmest welcome we received in Ireland." Their modern bungalow is set in
mature gardens and 100 acres of farmland in a beautiful rural landscape. Just
4km (2.5 miles) from Cashel, The Chestnuts is an ideal touring base, with
nicely appointed guest rooms and meals that feature home baking. In the
village just down the road, traditional music is usually on tap".

the Reader - Ireland - County Tipperary B&B
Recently we
had the pleasure of staying at The Chestnuts B&B, a country farmhouse in peaceful
Cashel, County Tipperary, Ireland. We were welcomed by our hosts, John and
Phyllis O'Halloran, with hot tea, home-made scones and jam. They were warm,
jovial, charming and helpful, and "in the loop." Their farmhouse,
with impeccably manicured gardens and grounds, provided comfortable, adequate
en-suite rooms with a full Irish breakfast.
Looming over
the town of Cashel is the imposing and awesome rock of Cashel, which can be
seen for miles around. Tours of the castle are available. For day trips, The
Chestnuts is a reasonable distance from Waterford, Cork and Blarney.
